The most well known lake in the southern area of the Adirondacks is Lake George. Champlain Lake is just north of Lake George. There are literally hundreds of lakes and ponds in the area. People who love to boat usually try to stay in the Adirondack rentals in this region. You can even find some Adirondack summer rentals that have private docks for your boat.
